Warner Bros. CEO ensnared in alleged 'sex for roles' scandal, report reveals - Page Six

Married Warner Bros. chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara allegedly had sex with a 21-year-old actress in a “motel”, promising her big movie roles and dispatching disgraced director Brett Ratner to get her auditions, a new report reveals.

British actress Charlotte Kirk was introduced to Tsujihara, 54, in an early-hours meeting at the Hotel Bel Air in 2013 [the year he took over as CEO], the Hollywood Reporter reveals. It was just announced Tsujihara, who has two children with wife Sandy, would become one of Hollywood’s most powerful execs, taking over a larger role at the studio overseeing assets such as The Cartoon Network.

But after the 2013 meeting with Tsujihara, Kirk wrote of the studio head in a text to her alleged ex-lover, Australian billionaire James Packer, “He just wants to f**k nothing else does not even want to say anything!” At the time Ratner and Packer’s RatPac-Dune Entertainment [a joint venture between RatPac and now Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin] was sealing a $450 million deal with Warner Bros.

Despite Tsujihara allegedly having offered to “back” Kirk for the movie role that instead went to Anne Hathaway in “The Intern”, she texted Tsujihara in 2015, “You’re very busy I know but when we were in that motel having sex u said u would help me and when u just ignore me like you’re doing now it makes me feel used.”

Ratner – then producing a slate of movies for Warner Bros including “Wonder Woman 2” before he was scrubbed in 2017 following multiple sexual harassment allegations – had introduced Kirk to Packer when she was 20, the story states.

In 2016 Ratner desperately tried to broker her silence via his attorney Marty Singer, who penned a contract promising the young actress a specific number of auditions in Warner Bros. and Ratner-directed movies – which she refused to sign.

According to texts seen by THR, Kirk complained she was passed between the male execs, writing in a text, “You came to me Brett after Kevin told you to because you’re the one who set me up with James [Packer]”

In 2015, Ratner got frustrated and responded to the actress, according to THR, “If you are going to be fucking someone for a part it should be a director or a producer.”

Meanwhile, Ratner and Tsujihara’s lawyers Marty Singer and Bert Deixler have carried out a concerted effort to keep a lid on their clients’ alleged dealings with the blonde actress.

Both have threatened Page Six with lawsuits in response to our attempts to report on elements of this story.

Deixler, who reps Tsujihara, wrote in November 2017, “I am informed that you are threatening to run a completely false story asserting that Mr. Tsujihara, as part of some settlement of a sexual harassment charge involving others cast, or agreed to cast, an English actress in Ocean’s 8. So that there is no ambiguity, the assertion is unequivocally false and without a scintilla of fact to support it. If you print this clearly defamatory statement Mr. Tsujihara will act swiftly and surely to avail himself of all legal remedies.”

In reality, Kirk was cast in a small role in “Ocean’s 8, ” playing a character name Cara. She appeared on the NYC red carpet for the movie.

A rep for Singer wrote to us by email in 2017, “It is categorically false that Brett Ratner was accused by actress Charlotte Kirk of engaging in sexual harassment and/or sexual misconduct….If this false story is recklessly published, it would be highly defamatory and would give rise to significant liability, causing substantial damage to Mr. Ratner’s reputation.”

Singer added on Wednesday, “Ms. Kirk made no sexual harassment claims against my client, and her statement published by the Hollywood Reporter today confirms that.”

Kirk – who is believed to have been paid a settlement which is likely to have resulted in an agreed statement – said in said statement, “I emphatically deny any inappropriate behavior on the part of Brett Ratner, James Packer, and Kevin Tsujihara, and I have no claims against any of them. I confirm that I was in a romantic relationship with James Packer in the summer of 2013 and that I was treated with respect by Mr. Packer, and I have no issues with him or claims against him.

“I further confirm that when the relationship ended I sought the advice of Mr. Tsujihara whom I had been introduced to by Mr. Packer. Mr. Tsujihara never promised me anything. I also confirm that Brett Ratner helped me out of friendship to assist me in getting auditions and trying to help me find an agent, and I have no issues with him or claims against him. I deny that there was any legal settlement or agreement entered into between myself and Brett Ratner in 2016.”
