“Cats” composer Andrew Lloyd Webber’s actual cat Mika was tragically run over by a car this week.
To honor the feline, the EGOT winner is providing live commentary during a Webcast of a filmed 1998 stage production of “Cats.” It’s part of his YouTube series “The Shows Must Go On!” for the Actors Fund.
Webber promises us his commentary in Mika’s memory will contain “an awful lot of secrets that I want to really let out of the bag, if you’ll forgive the pun.” Fans can submit questions via Twitter using #ALWCats.
Webber’s honorary president of the Turkish Van Cat Club — fans of Mika’s breed.
