Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber react to Tekashi 6ix9ine saying they bought No. 1 Billboard spot - USA TODAY

Ariana Grande is firing back at accusations she and Justin Bieber bought their song's way to the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

In an Instagram post Monday, Grande issued a statement after rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, posted an Instagram video alleging that "you can buy No. 1s on Billboard."

Earlier that day, Billboard announced Grande and Bieber's single "Stuck With U" debuted at the top spot on the chart, with the rapper's song "Gooba" coming in at No. 3.

Without directly naming Hernandez, Grande thanked her fans for supporting the song and slammed those trying to discredit her and Bieber's achievement.

"numbers aren’t the driving force in anything i do," the pop star wrote. "i’m grateful to sing. grateful to have people who want to listen. grateful to even be here at all."

Though she prefers not to give "energy to drama or strange accusations," the pop star said the success of "Stuck With U" is due to her and Bieber's fans buying the song. Proceeds benefit the First Responders Children’s Foundation.

"to anybody that is displeased with their placement on the chart this week or who is spending their time racking their brain thinking of as many ways as they can to discredit hardworking women (and only the women for some reason.....), i ask u to take a moment to humble yourself," Grande continued. "be grateful you’re even here. that people want to listen to u at all. it’s a blessed position to be in."

The pop star also recalled how she's "had a lot of 'almost number ones' " throughout her career, but she's never complained.

Grande capped off her post wishing a congratulations to all of her "talented" peers in the top 10 — "even number 3."

In an Instagram video, Hernandez alleged that Grande's team submitted 60,000 units of "Stuck With U" at the "last second" on Thursday and that an "investigation" had found half of those units were purchased using just six credit cards.

"It's all manipulated," he said. "It's all fabricated. You can buy No. 1s. This is what these artists do, and it's not fair."

The rapper also charged that Billboard only counted 31 million of his song's 50 million streams.

On his Instagram story, Bieber said the rapper's claim about the six credit cards was "a lie." Bieber added that the rapper had cited his global streams, but that only domestic streams count for the Hot 100.

"This is my song with Ariana Grande and I'm honored to work with her to help raise money for a great cause," he added. "If you gonna say her name make sure you say mine because it's our song."

USA TODAY has reached out to Billboard for comment.

Later in the day, Hernandez returned to Instagram to say he didn't mean to disrespect Grande.

"I made this video to address Ariana," he explained. "I don't want you to think that I'm coming at you. Not saying that you not talented. … You just don't understand my pain. My frustration is from Billboard."

The rapper continued that he speaks "for the millions of kids that come from nothing."

"I want you to understand that I come from a different, different background than you, right?" he added. "My mom used to collect cans on the street. I used to bus tables, be a dishwasher."

Hernandez then showed clips of Grande acting in the Nickelodeon sitcom "Victorious," which she starred on when she was a teenager.
