One thing schools could do this fall is to utilize the large open spaces in the buildings (auditoriums, gymnasiums, common agoras, etc.) to teach subjects required of all students- freshman English, science, algebra- together with video setups similar to concert presentations, hosted by several teachers coordinating instruction and Q & A.
This format is not unlike common experience in “101” classes in college and can help foster a sense of maturing responsibility among the students.
