IDEA Fund Partners is ramping up to pour more capital into early-stage ventures.
The Durham a venture capital fund, which is affiliated with entrepreneurial organization NC IDEA, has raised $120,000 for its latest fund, according to securities filings.
A total of seven investors participated in financing for IDEA Co-Investment Fund, which launched the fundraise on Feb.25.
John Cambier, managing partner at Idea Fund Partners, signed the filing.
IDEA Fund Partners is an early stage venture capital firm focused on working with great entrepreneurs to build disruptive and scalable technology companies. IDEA Fund Partners has a long track record of success and is one of the most active early stage investors in the entire Southeast U.S.
Previous investments include Durham companies Argyle Social and Automated Insights as well as Raleigh-based Axial Exchange. IDEA Fund was also an early investor in Morrisville e-mail marketing firm iContact, which was acquired last year by Vocus
