Music’s biggest event of the year, the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, will kick off tonight at 8 p.m. eastern time. It will be a mostly virtual affair, though a number of star-studded performances will still be happening across different venues. Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, BTS, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and more will be taking the stage, while other musicians will either tune in digitally or pick up their accolades on-site. As for the nominees, Beyoncé leads the pack with nine nominations, including for Record of the Year and Best Music Film for “Black Parade.”
The much-anticipated Grammys red carpet—which has a history of bold, outré fashions—will be a mix of in person and virtual cameos as well. Considering 2021’s awards season has already served up plenty of memorable fashion moments thus far—from Anya Taylor Joy’s magical Dior haute couture gown at the Golden Globes, to Zendaya’s voluminous Valentino skirt at the Critics Choice Awards—one can expect the Grammys fashion choices to up the ante even further. After all, it’s the show that has given us Jennifer Lopez's iconic Versace dress and Lady Gaga being carried inside of an egg.
