Among the incriminating evidence were purported photos extracted from the women's social media accounts, depicting a hotel room key from Tokyo's Capitol Hotel, a venue coincidentally familiar to Haechan, who had previously been filmed there during a Weverse live stream.

Adding fuel to the fire, an image emerged featuring Haechan, Johnny, and the three women outside the Capitol Hotel, lending credibility to the allegations. Subsequent scrutiny of the women's online presence revealed apparent fandom ties to NCT, with photos showcasing their adoration for the group through posters and photocards.
Further complicating matters, one of the women allegedly shared screenshots of a Kakaotalk conversation attributed to Johnny, suggesting direct communication between the idol and one of the accusers. Compounding the controversy, Johnny's presence in Japan for an official NCT 127 event on March 8, including a concert the following day, coincided with the timeline of the alleged incident.
The scandal quickly gained traction, with retweets and reposts catapulting the accusations into viral status. As the controversy escalated, pressure mounted, leading to the deletion of the retweets by other accounts. Moreover, one of the women has scrubbed her social media presence.

Meanwhile, following the deletion of the original tweets, the nightlife promoter explained, "I received requests from the person involved and those around them to delete the tweets, so I deleted the two tweets about certain actresses and a Korean idol!"
