Hailey Baldwin has revealed why she decided to take her husband’s last name.

After tying the knot with Justin Bieber back in September, Hailey Baldwin has been revealed details surrounding her life as a married woman.

In a recent interview, she open up on what is was like changing her last name from Baldwin to Bieber.

She is comfortable with her new last name

Hailey Baldwin has one of the most famous last names in Hollywood.

Coming from a family such as the Baldwins, the model has used her last name to her advantage when it came down to her career.

After marrying Justin Bieber in an intimate courthouse wedding, Hailey Bieber put a lot of consideration into changing her last name.

Two months after they were officially married, Hailey Bieber shook the entertainment world to its core when it was revealed she had changed her name to “Hailey Bieber” on Instagram.

It took some time for the model to get used to but now, loves having her husband’s last name.

“It took some getting used to, for sure,” the Drop the Mic co-host recently told Bustle. “It’s definitely strange, it takes adjusting.”

She will always be a Baldwin

Even though the model is now a Bieber, that does stop her from identifying as a Baldwin.

The Baldwins are one of Hollywood’s most famous families to date. Hailey Bieber was born to Kennya and Stephen Baldwin and is the niece of Alec, William and Daniel Baldwin.

Even though her last name is now different, Hailey Bieber will always consider herself a Baldwin and is proud of the family she comes from.

“I’m very proud of my family name,” Hailey tells Bustle. “I come from a great family with a history in this industry and I remember when I was going to change it, I asked my dad if he was going to be upset and he was like, ‘No! I don’t care. We love you. All good, everyone still knows you’re a Baldwin.’ It’s true!”

Having a new last name adds to her character

Hailey Bieber is proud to be a Baldwin and Bieber and believes that both names make her who she is.

Getting married to Justin Bieber has been the best decision she’s made and believes that marrying him was the right thing to do.

In an interview that took place shortly after they got married, Hailey Bieber revealed, “My sister was 24 when she got married, and my parents also got married when they were young, too. I see no reason to wait. When you know it’s right, it’s right.”

Hailey Bieber feels as though when you are comfortable with your own character, a last name shouldn’t matter when it comes to your identity.

It just adds to it!

Justin Bieber feels the same way and loves having Hailey in his life to add a little something he’s been missing.

In an Instagram post from July, Justin Bieber wrote in the caption, “You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment each other so well!! Can’t wait for the best season of life yet!. It’s funny because now with you everything seems to make sense!”
