New 'Game of Thrones' cast photos have fans freaking out - New York Post

With the final season of “Game of Thrones” approaching faster than the Night King, HBO has taken to Twitter to release new promo art showcasing the returning characters who will play a fateful game of life and death.

Using the hashtag #ForTheThrone, the show’s diehard fans are whipping up a social media-sharing frenzy in anticipation of the April 14 premiere of the eighth and final “Game of Thrones” season.

There have been some notable costume changes, as in the case of Cersei (Lena Headey) — and Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) has a new beard. The main takeaway, however, is that it’s good to see everyone again as the characters gear up for the final battle between Winterfell and the Army of the Dead.

Check out the familiar faces of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and everyone’s favorite, Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie).
