Watch: Dallas Stars give fans the SpongeBob 'Sweet Victory' Super Bowl halftime show everyone wanted - Dallas News

"The winner takes all..."

Just a few words many fans hoped Maroon 5's Adam Levine would sing during his halftime performance at Super Bowl LIII on Sunday went unheard -- much to the disappointment of SpongeBob SquarePants fans everywhere.

While a brief SpongeBob clip was shown to help introduce featured act Travis Scott, the full song didn't make the cut. Fans of the show petitioned for the clip from the famous 'Band Geeks' episode to appear during the Super Bowl since the show's creator, Stephen Hillenburg, died in November.

That's where the Dallas Stars come in.

The organization's creative team revamped the clip from the episode - giving the band updated victory green uniforms while including clips of dancing Stars fans - to give everyone the halftime show they rightfully deserved.

In an additional recreation, Twitter user @yeekstudios provided a glimpse of what it would have actually looked like if 'Sweet Victory' was performed at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
