Kanye West & Zane Lowe to "Cover Everything" in Upcoming Apple Music Beats 1 Interview - HYPEBEAST

With the release of his highly-anticipated album Jesus Is King only a few days away, Kanye West will be sitting down with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe for a special Beats 1 interview on October 24.

While the talking points of the interview remain under wraps, West and Lowe are expected to “cover everything,” possibly ranging from the creation and delay of Jesus Is King to the album’s accompanying IMAX film, the rapper’s new-found faith, YEEZY and his family life.

Jesus Is King has seen an almost one-month delay; wife Kim Kardashian originally announced a release date for September 27 before pushing it back to September 29. As the album became a no-show during the second date, sources began to claim that the project was “delayed indefinitely” due to West’s constant tweaking. A trailer and tickets for the accompanying IMAX film were released to the public a few weeks later, quickly followed by Sunday Service attendees claiming ‘Ye himself had set a new date at a listening party in DC. West, for the first time, formally and publicly confirmed Jesus Is King’s release date about a week later, reaffirming its release on October 25 with the announcement of the Beats 1 interview.

Elsewhere in music, Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” is now the fastest-selling diamond single in history.
