Queen Elizabeth has seemingly removed a portrait of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from her sitting room.
The portrait was first spotted in 2018, and was nowhere to be seen in photos snapped on October 22.

Awkward news from Buckingham Palace. It looks like Queen Elizabeth has removed a framed photo of Meghan and Harry from her sitting room. The photo was first spotted by Hello Magazine back in May 2018, when the Queen's was photographed with Honorable George Brandis, the Australian High Commissioner to the U.K.

Apparently, the photo is a previously-unseen outtake from Meghan and Harry's engagement shoot, and its prominent display was definitely a show of support from Her Majesty. But in these images of Queen Elizabeth and High Commissioner for Grenada Lakisha Grant (taken October 22), the photo is notably missing:

Instead, it looks like the table simply features a photo of William and Kate, as well as a photo of William and Harry.

Before you read too much into this, British outlets are speculating that the photo was simply removed to respect Meghan and Harry's privacy in the wake of their highly dramatic and emotionally taxing summer.

Plus, this isn't the first time a photo has been removed from this particular table. Multiple outlets report that the photos of Meghan + Harry and Harry + William replaced a portrait of Princess Anne and her husband Timothy Laurence. In other words, the Queen isn't snubbing anyone. Chances are, she simply didn't want a private image of Meghan and Harry to be photographed while they're going through it.
