The actors of TvN's "Start-Up" expressed their bittersweet feelings about the end of the series as its last episode aired Sunday.

The series, which began on Oct. 17 with a 4.5 percent rating, scored the second-highest rating at 5.2 percent with its finale, only 0.2 percent short of its highest figure.

"I thought I would feel free when it wrapped up, but it's more of a bittersweet feeling," actress Bae Suzy, who played the lead Seo Dal-mi, said through her agency Management Soop Monday. "As I was playing Dal-mi for eight months, I empathized with her and was really happy to play the character, so it's sad that the series is finally over."

The story followed a group of young adults ― ambitious college dropout Dal-mi, tech genius Nam Do-san (Nam Joo-hyuk), angel investor Han Ji-pyeong (Kim Sun-ho), and heiress Won In-jae (Kang Han-na) ― who start their own tech company.

In the last episode, Dal-mi and Do-san found success not only with their business as CEO and CTO of a self-driving car startup but also with their love life, finally getting married.

Bae thanked her co-star Nam, saying "I enjoyed working with Nam Joo-hyuk, and learned a lot.

"I'm so grateful for people's love for this drama, and I hope they remember our Dal-mi and Do-san for a long time."

Nam also shared his feelings on the end of the drama.

"For the eight months I was shooting, it sometimes felt like it was going on for too long, but now it's over, it seems like it just flew by… so many thoughts are crossing my mind," he said. "I've learned a lot through playing Do-san, and was able to grow with him."

Kang shared an encouraging message as she thanked the viewers for watching the series.

"As I was playing In-jae, I have hoped to send out encouragement to other millennials striving to achieve their goals," she said. "I hope the viewers had a positive takeaway from the story of these characters challenging and growing through their struggles."
