Sharon Stone, 65, cuts a youthful figure in elegant caped gown as she attends the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party in Beverly Hills

Sharon Stone put on a show-stopping display wearing a stunning caped dress as she made a grand arrival at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

The Basic Instinct actress wowed as she stepped onto the red carpet alongside other celebrities at the annual event, such as Sarah Paulson, Olivia Wilde, Hailey Bieber, and Chrissy Teigen

The star notably celebrated her 65th birthday on Friday and showed off a humorous new look while having a blast on the special day.

As she paused for a brief photo session, the Golden Globe winner glowed in a figure-hugging, pastel yellow dress that clung to her frame and pooled down past her feet.

The colorful ensemble contained a cape made of the same material that flowed down from her shoulders and fell into a short train behind her.

Towards the bottom of both the dress and the cape, white floral patterns were embroidered on the fabric for an elegant detail.

Sharon carried a vibrant yellow, Dolce & Gabbana Devotion handbag that perfectly coincided with the color scheme of her look for Hollywood's biggest night. The purse is priced around $1,595, according to the official website.

Her blonde locks were slicked back into a chic style, revealing a pair of large, circular silver earrings that sparkled under the bright lights for a dazzling effect.

She opted to not wear a flashy necklace, but added a chunky, oval-shaped ring on her right hand that contained a pink-colored sapphire in the middle.

The actress's makeup was glammed up, and comprised of a layer of black mascara along with a gold shadow to make her blue eyes pop.

A light pink blush and dewy highlighter was worn to better accentuate her cheekbones, while a satin pink tint to her lips was added for a finishing touch.

As she strolled on the red carpet before heading inside the Wallis Anneberg Center for the festivities, the stylish cape bellowed out behind her.

The star, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Casino in 1996, is no stranger to the Academy Awards and the numerous star-studded parties in celebration of the annual ceremony.

While she continuously puts on fashionable displays on the red carpet, Sharon admitted during an interview on the Table For Two podcast earlier Tuesday that her 1992 Oscars outfit was far from her favorite.

She explained, per WWD, that she had been invited to the ceremony before Basic Instinct was released, 'so no one would lend me a dress.' The actress added that the film finally premiered a few days before the Oscars and she was set to present, but still wouldn't be lent a gown.

'It was unbelievable because I didn’t have any money,' she recalled. 'All these people in their $40,000 or $50,000 dresses and I went and bought a Betsy Johnson polyester jumpsuit, because that was the best I could do.'

The star also reminisced how she had also done her own hair and makeup for the big night. After the ceremony began, Stone stated, 'I got there and I was like in the fourth or fifth row back, which was really good.'

'And I was on the aisle, and I was seated right behind Anthony Hopkins, and when I walked by, he put his hands together and put them over his head like a champion and held them up to me when I passed him. I was like, ‘Oh my God, he saw my movie.'

Following the event, she had a conversation with her father. 'I told my dad, and my dad was like, ‘Kid, you could look good in a burlap sack.’ I was like ‘Oh, right.’ So after that, I thought, ‘It doesn’t matter, I can wear a T-shirt to the Oscars so I did.'

According to WWD, the actress had made an appearance at the 1996 Academy Awards sporting an Armani dress and a GAP shirt.
