There’s an all-new trailer for the movie about the aging and syphilis-ridden gangster. The film was originally titled Fonzo but was retitled to Capone. According to Variety, the new movie will be released on VOD on May 12. Viewers will get to see the film with a 48-hour rental. It’s being released through Vertical Entertainment and Redbox Entertainment. However, there are still plans in the works to give audiences a release in the summer in theaters for the full experience.

The director released the trailer via Twitter

Trank released the trailer through his Twitter account on April 15. “TRAILER. Tom Hardy. Capone. Coming MAY 12. (Different title. My cut. 🤩),” the post is captioned.

The synopsis for the new film is: “The 47-year old Al Capone, after 10 years in prison, starts suffering from dementia, and comes to be haunted by his violent past.”

Al Capone is a name many people still know to this day. He was huge during the 1920s when he was the head of the Chicago mob. However, he was undone when he was charged with tax evasion and sent to prison.

People are going crazy for the all-new trailer

The trailer looks quite exciting and fans can’t wait to see the whole movie. Tom Hardy transforms into an old gangster that still has a lot to prove. Viewers will get to see a different side of Capone as he lives in Florida.

“He has full-blown dementia. I have reason to believe it could all be an elaborate act,” Crawford continues. “We have information that your client may have tucked away a very large sum of money.”

There’s even a scene of Capone in water with a crocodile looking like it’s ready to eat him for a snack. “We made a promise. Someday we was gonna make it big,” Capone says to a crowd of people seated around the table.

Numerous fans commented on the director’s post with the trailer. People are more than ready to see this movie.
