MOAs of the world, get ready because TOMORROW x TOGETHER (otherwise known as TXT) have officially announced their much-awaited comeback.
On April 27, the quintet revealed the name of their upcoming album, The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY, with a short trailer on YouTube. Though it clocks in at just 18 seconds, the new trailer feels as mesmerizing and mystical as its predecessor.
TXT fans, known as MOAs, have been eagerly anticipating new details about the album for weeks now, with the members often offering small hints on their almost daily live broadcasts. When chatting with Bebe Rexha on IG Live, Huening Kai did let slip that they might have been prepping for a summer comeback, but it looks like new music will be coming much sooner. (Only three full weeks to go!)
The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY, which is expected to drop on May 18 at 6:00 pm KST, is the follow-up to the five-track EP The Dream Chapter: STAR and the band’s official debut album, The Dream Chapter: MAGIC, which both came out in 2019.
The first two iterations of The Dream Chapter journey marked the group's big debut and earned the quintet various coveted awards, including Rookie of the Year at the 2019 Melon Music Awards and Best New Male Artist at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards (known as MAMA), as well as international acclaim.
On April 28, to coincide with the launch of pre-orders for the new album as announced on Weverse, Big Hit released the second trailer for ETERNITY, this time in the form of a concept trailer. And to say the five-minute video is an emotional rollercoaster would be an understatement.
Set to a hypnotic instrumental track, which, according to the YouTube description is a remixed version of a new TXT song called "Drama," the concept trailer opens up with the five members gathered around a small, round table. Sharing snacks and playing games, the members feed off each other's energy nonchalantly.
As the sequence advances, though, the table gets larger and so does the distance between the members. In the end, leader Soobin is left on his own. When he tries to make his way across the table to reach his fellow members, he finds himself trapped, and we witness his muffled screams as Yoon Sang's "Someone A" plays in the background. And while we don't know what any of this means (yet), we're already intrigued.
Further details haven't yet been announced regarding The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY, but knowing Big Hit, we'll be getting a lot more info soon. Until then, watch the new trailer below.
