It’s all about creating the perfect silhouette in this week’s artistic challenge.
Entering their fourth week of #McQueenCreators, Alexander McQueen are inviting their followers to draw a silhouette. Using charcoal, pencils, pastels and paints, creatives are encouraged to take inspiration from select images taken from the women’s SS20 collection and the men’s AW20 collection.
Best known for his portraits in a variety of mediums, Head of BA Womenswear at Central Saint Martins Howard Tangye shared his expertise on creating silhouettes this week, using Zoom to draw his models. Tangye’s peaceful and inspiring video showcases the artistry and techniques that go into creating the perfect silhouette using various materials. Feeling inspired?
