MONSTA X Kihyun 'not dating' WJSN's Bona say Starship Entertainment - Metro.co.uk

MONSTA X star Kihyun is not dating label mate Bona, from the girl group WJSN.

Starship Entertainment, who manage both groups, shut down reports that the idols have been together for last five years and recently went on holiday together with friends.

Starship explained that Kihyun and Bona are just colleagues at the same company and nothing more.

In a statement to South Korean media the agency said: ‘Kihyun and Bona are just a senior and junior of the same agency.

‘It is not true that they dated for five years or went on a trip together.’

Earlier on Tuesday, Sports Chosun claimed the K-pop stars have been ‘close friends’ since they began as trainees at Starship.

MONSTA X is gearing up for their comeback with new album Fantasia X which drops in May.

It comes after a difficult few months for the group following the departure of member Wonho amid drug allegations – of which he has since been cleared.

Wonho is now striking out on his own as a solo artist after signing to Starship subsidiary label Highline Entertainment.

Meanwhile rapper Joohoney has returned to the boy group after taking time out to recover from ‘anxiety symptoms’.

MONSTA X is currently made up of Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M.

WJSN recently celebrated their 1500th day since they debuted.

They shared with Idol Radio that due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic they were unable to celebrate the milestone properly, and stayed in quarantine together at home.
