Suga, a member of the K-Pop boyband BTS, has reimagined Samsung’s iconic ‘Over The Horizon’ ringtone and put his own spin on the recognisably classic tune.
Speaking about the experience, Suga told Samsung:
“The whole process was incredible. It was an honour to work on a song that’s been a part of Galaxy’s 10 year history.”

You can download the track here and set it to your ringtone. The song is also up on YouTube and SoundCloud.
Samsung also announced that Suga’s Over the Horizon ringtone will be delivered along with future updates on Galaxy devices.
In a video with Samsung during which he discussed the experience of creating his own version of Over The Horizon, Suga said:

“Everybody knows that it’s the Galaxy theme song just by its melody. I was really excited when they asked me to do the project.”
Suga also said that he has “always liked” Over The Horizon and has heard different versions by various other artists.
BTS’ Suga reimagines Samsung’s Over The Horizon
Suga described reimagining Over The Horizon as a “very special experience” as he is a “big fan” of Galaxy and has “always wanted to make an instrumental track.”
Suga explained how he went about creating the track and said that he tried to make his own interpretation “while keeping the melody largely the same for it to resonate with a broader audience.”
The musician stated: “I listened to it over and over again, added a string solo then the guitar to make it more dramatic and to give it the full grandeur.”
Suga concluded the video by stating:
“Like the title Over The Horizon, it’s about going beyond our limits. No one knows what will unfold but our dreams make us go farther than ever. I hope that together with Galaxy, you’ll feel your heart open up.”
