Roman Reigns Opens SmackDown

Roman Reigns staying on SmackDown was one of the most anticlimactic starts to a WWE Draft in recent memory.

Dare I say Brock Lesnar looks more comfortable in flanel than Mick Foley?

The pop for Brock Lesnars’ suplexes was louder than the pop for most finishers.

Happy Corbin (with Madcap Moss) vs. Kevin Owens.

Riddick Moss is now named Madcap Moss. Madcap sounds like such an old word, that’s how you know Vince McMahon probably came up with it.

Riddick Moss will never be taken seriously as a potential top star as long as he’s in suspenders.

Happy Corbin’s ring gear—a leopard-print shirt with slacks—kind of makes me miss his Constable Corbin gear.

Kevin Owens lost again, but clamoring for him to go to AEW would be like clamoring for Dalvin Cook to go to the Tennessee Titans. They already have an All-Pro running back and a capable backup. They don’t need any more.

Edge Responds to Seth Rollins

They messed around and split up The New Day again. Disgusting.

Seth Rollins came off as such a non-threatening home invader.

Upon Seeing Seth Rollins invade his home, Edge immediately ran to the back. At first it seemed like he was fruitlessly going to catch a plane to fly to save Beth Phoenix, but instead he got on the phone in the back and warned her not to go home, which made much more sense.

The New Day and The Street Profits def. Alpha Academy and The Dirty Dawgz

This match featured four very talented WWE Superstars, however they were broken down into two successful tag teams, against two throwaway tag teams.

Kofi Kingston and Montez Ford in the same match might end up solving “Greatest High Flyer of all Time” debate.

Sasha Banks def. Bianca Belair

The Banks vs. Belair rematch is a pay-per-view worthy match, however the WWE Draft—which also featured Brock Lesnar—is near the level of a pay-per-view these days, so this is a very fitting main event.

Becky Lynch, on commentary, went nuts on Michael Cole after he suggested she might lose her championship without being pinned.

Becky Lynch’s outerwear gets more flamboyant the more she leans into this heel turn.

With Bianca Belair on her way to WWE Raw, unfortunately I have a feeling more losses are in her future.

WWE has two women’s champions on SmackDown, so there’s going to be some form of a title change ahead of the October 22 deadline.

Adblock test (Why?)
