The Raw after Hell In A Cell saw WWE turn its attention to Survivor Series, and Randy Orton is going to be a busy boy over the next few weeks.

As well as a showdown with SmackDown’s Roman Reigns at the pay-per-view, it’s clear he’s not done with Drew McIntyre after winning the WWE Title on Sunday, and now “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt has him in his sights.

The show started with McIntyre quoting Rocky and taking responsibility for his loss, only for The Miz to interrupted and gloat about his Money In The Bank briefcase victory.

Eventually Drew had heard enough and took out Miz with a headbutt, with John Morrison saving his partner from more damage.

McIntyre and Miz faced off later in the show, with the former WWE Champion picking up the win in a short but competitive bout.

In the Firefly Fun House, Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss held a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and hyped up the latter’s upcoming interview with Orton, while the former recalled Randy burning down his cabin.

In the main event segment of the night, the Legend Killer appeared on A Moment of Bliss, but he didn’t let his guard down because of the threat of The Fiend.

Alexa referenced the burning too, and simply laughed when Orton asked if he was going to turn up.

Instead, McIntyre charged the ring and brawled with Bliss laughing in the background.

The lights dropped, and when they came up, she had left, Orton was standing on the ramp with Drew in the ring by himself.

The WWE Champion knew The Fiend was behind him, but ignored the threat and took the fight back to Drew.

It was a bit chaotic, but it gives Randy plenty to do going into the final couple of months of the year.

Best of the rest

In the first qualifying match for a spot on the men’s Raw Survivor Series team, AJ Styles took on Jeff Hardy in a cracking bout with his bodyguard Jordan Omogbehin adding to the drama without directly impacting the finish.

After the Phenomenal Forearm put the Charismatic Enigma away, he was taken out after the bell with Elias, who smashed a guitar over his rival’s back.

Up next, it was the usual 24/7 Title nonsense, this time starting as a tag team match pitting Drew Gulak and Akira Tozawa against Lucha House Party’s Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik.

All four men – and the champ R-Truth, who came down during the bout as everything dissolved into mayhem – are incredibly talented, but this didn’t have much of a chance.

At least LHP built some momentum with the win, but Truth escaped with the belt.
In another Survivor Series qualifier, Keith Lee – who is focused on Braun Strowman – took on Elias after the singer hyped up his new album.

However, it was the Limitless One who triumphed in a decent clash, hitting the Spirit Bomb after Jeff Hardy’s music distracted Elias.

Hardy then got a measure of revenge with a guitar shot of his own to end the segment.

Up next, Hurt Business took on RETRIBUTION in an elimination tag team match, which had its moments – including Reckoning acting very strange at ringside – but wasn’t much of an improvement on recent weeks.

In the end, Mustafa Ali got himself disqualified, meaning his faction lost yet another battle, making it harder to build any momentum in the war.

Later in the night, Adam Pearce announced that the Raw women’s Survivor Series team would be made up of Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke and the winner of a Fatal Four Way between Lana, Peyton Royce, Nikki Cross and Lacey Evans.

Lana picked up the win in a pretty solid match, only for the running joke to continue as Jax sent her crashing through a table yet again.

The final match of the night – and the third men’s Survivor Series qualifier – saw Matt Riddle taking on Sheamus in a great and surprisingly technical bout, with the Celtic Warrior emerging as the winner in the end with a Brogue Kick.

It’s not clear where the Original Bro goes from here, but it was fun to see Sheamus show what he can do, and pick up a big win.
