Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank invites community members and Penn State students, faculty, and staff with unique business ideas to apply to participate in its virtual Idea TestLab. Entry is competitive, and the application deadline is Feb. 19.
The four-week program is designed to help teams evaluate the viability of their business ideas by coaching them through a proven method of customer discovery and problem analysis. The four-week Idea TestLab helps participants get a better handle on the problem their customer has and what value they can provide them that others can’t.
Participants in the program will:
- Virtually meet as a group for four, two-hour, hands-on sessions.
- Take advantage of one-on-one mentoring.
- Receive a mailed copy of program materials and “The Mom Test” provided by a grant from Barnes & Noble.
- Be eligible to apply to receive a $3,000 grant for customer discovery activities.
This program will be an all-virtual program and will require the following to participate:
- Access to a computer with audio and video capabilities
- A stable internet connection
Early-stage entrepreneurs who are just starting to explore the feasibility of their idea will benefit most from the program.
“If you’re looking to start out the new year by working on that business idea you’ve been kicking around, the Idea TestLab is a great place to start,” said Ben Nason, idea catalyst at Happy Valley LaunchBox.
Apply for the Virtual Idea TestLab by Feb. 19 at launchbox.psu.edu/ideatestlab.
