Before holding the concerts, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook attended and performed at the 2022 Grammy Awards. On April 4, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook held a VLIVE livestream immediately following the 2022 Grammy Awards.
Together, the BTS members discussed their performance of “Butter,” gave behind-the-scenes details about the award show, and shared their feelings about being nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
At the 2022 Grammy Awards, BTS lost Best Pop Duo/Group Performance to Doja Cat and SZA. During the VLIVE, Jimin shared that he hopes fans weren’t too upset by the outcome.
“What I was really worried about was, of course we’re disappointed that we didn’t win anything but it was still such an honor. But I’m worried that our fans are more disappointed,” Jimin shared in the VLIVE according to the English translation.

Suga then emphasized that while the Grammy Awards were important, the award show was simply a pit stop before Permission to Dance On Stage – Las Vegas.
“We just stopped by the Grammys on our way to the concert, right? We just stopped by, right?” Suga asked the BTS members.
The members of BTS then laughed and joked with Suga that they put in very little effort for the 2022 Grammy Awards.

In addition to being nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, BTS performed “Butter” at the award show. During the VLIVE, the members of BTS shared how much prep work they put into the performance.
“… we tried a lot of different things at the Grammys and practiced for a long time,” J-Hope said.
V added, “We were really nervous too.”

The 2022 Grammy Awards were held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. While the Permission to Dance On Stage – Las Vegas concerts are taking place at Allegiant Stadium, there will be a “LIVE PLAY in LAS VEGAS” broadcast of all four concerts at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the same venue as the 2022 Grammy Awards.
The first Permission to Dance On Stage – Las Vegas concert took place on April 8. The remaining concerts will be held on April 9, April 15, and April 16.
