A host of new posters tease the multiversal chaos and multiple variants to come in next month’s Marvel sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Led by Benedict Cumberbatch as The Master of the Mystic Arts, the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will further unleash the multiverse, as Doctor Strange comes across new allies and enemies. This latest in the line of official posters released by Marvel Studios puts Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda AKA The Scarlet Witch at the center of the action, with the latter slowly looking more and more like the villain of the piece. A recent teaser has added further fuel to this particular fire, revealing that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will have close ties to the Disney+ series, WandaVision, and showing Wanda attempting to reunite with her two sons.
Alongside this one-piece, a pair of posters for the Dolby and IMAX releases of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has also been unveiled. Both once again put the spotlight on Strange and Wanda, with the Dolby poster showing an ominous silhouette of the Scarlet Witch slowly approaching a broken Doctor Strange. So, that’s Wanda as the villain confirmed then?
Lastly, we have a pair of red-hued posters offering another look at the various variants of Doctor Strange, including Defender Strange and Strange Supreme.
Following the events of WandaVision, Loki, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness sees Stephen Strange delve ever deeper into the mysteries of the multiverse. Now that Iron Man and Captain America are no more, Doctor Strange is expected to step up. But things quickly go awry after he uses his magic to manipulate time and space, opening the door to the multiverse. Strange seeks help from his ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers’ most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda, to restore a world where everything is changing. But a terrible threat looms over humanity and the entire universe that no longer can be done by their power alone. Even more surprising, the greatest danger in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange...
