Elon Musk says he's “open to the idea” of buying subscription newsletter platform Substack.

In a Twitter thread(Opens in a new window) started by Dave Rubin, the conservative commentator alleged that “manipulation for political purposes” is worse on YouTube and Google than Twitter, to which Musk replied with a thinking face emoji, Business Insider reports(Opens in a new window)

The relaunch comes after a botched initial release saw a high number of newly verified users impersonating celebrities, and Musk himself. That resulted in a number of high-profile advertisers jumping ship, prompting Twitter to tell advertisers this week that it will roll out controls preventing their ads from appearing above or below tweets containing certain keywords.
