TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coldplay has officially announced that it will perform in Jakarta as part of a tour across Asia and Australia which will kick off in November this year. The announcement marks the band’s first-ever show in Jakarta, taking place on 15 November at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
According to the band’s promoter PK Entertainment website, Coldplay’s hugely-anticipated return to Asia and Australia with a special run of stadium shows in November will be under the tour dubbed Music Of The Spheres World Tour.
In a video announcement uploaded on PK Entertainment’s Instagram account, the band’s lead Chris Martin said: “Hello, apa kabar? Everybody in Indonesia we are so excited to announce our first show in your beautiful country. We’ll be in Indonesia, in Jakarta on November the 15th and we really hope we see some of you there, Thank you,”
For Jakarta, PK Entertainment on its website stated ticket sales will open exclusively on the BCA application on Wednesday and Thursday, May 17th and 18th. Then, ticket purchases will open to the public on Saturday, 19 May.
In this year’s tour, Coldplay will perform in Japan’s Tokyo Dome (November 6-7); Kaohsiung, Taiwan (November 11); Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno (November 15); Perth, Australia at the Optus Stadium (November 18); and finally Malaysia’s Bukit Jalil National Stadium (November 22).
