You know Coldplay. They were kinda indie darlings for a few minutes in the early 2000s before blowing up to become one of the biggest bands on the planet.
They've got a staggering number of massive hits and play enormous stadium shows the world over. If you're not one of the many who ditched their CD collections, you probably have one of their albums in your house somewhere.
One thing you might not know about Coldplay is that they haven't been to Western Australia in over 14 years.
Well, that's all about to change.

The UK pop-rock behemoth today announce their return to Australia. But they'll only play one show when they're here, and it's happening in Perth.
The band have added the date to their Music of The Spheres World Tour, which kicked off in March of last year and has seen the band break all manner of attendance records as fans flock to their shows.
This is another huge coup for Western Australia and Tourism WA's major events strategy. Thousands of fans were convinced to head over to Perth to see Björk earlier this year, and will hope that there's a similar appetite among pop fans to see this massive stadium show.
Joining the band will be a couple of Queensland legends in Australian pop rock star Amy Shark and everyone's favourite singer-songwriter Thelma Plum.
This is Coldplay's first show in Perth since playing two shows at the city's Burswood Dome in February of 2009. This will be their first show at the relatively new Optus Stadium.
