Thanks to the Roswell Daily Record for publishing awesome articles about Johnny Gonzales, one of our most valuable citizens. Johnny and his wife, Mary, have spent 30-plus years helping folks in our community and other locations. They have provided free Thanksgiving dinners for all, free Christmas for kids, free school supplies and clothes for kids, a prison ministry and much more. Johnny ran and finished his earthly race and entered his heavenly rest just after Thanksgiving in 2017.
And so, this letter is to ask the Chaves County Commission to rename the Roswell Bypass to “The Johnny and Mary Gonzales Relief Route.” After all, they have spent years providing relief to all of Roswell. What do you think, Roswell?
