Fnatic Launches New Music Label With ‘Lofi Beats To Chill And Game To’ Album - Forbes

Fnatic is one of the world’s top esports organizations with massively successful teams across dozens of titles, and is even ranked in ForbesTop 10 Most Valuable Esports Companies. The London-based organization is an esports juggernaut, having claimed over 200 championship victories across 30 different games since its inception in 2004.

Now, after dominating in-game, Fnatic is looking to take over the airwaves with their very own music label, Fnatic Music, which launched today with its first album: Fnatic Island Vol. 1.

This album features over 40 of the world’s most-streamed lofi hip-hop artists and promises to deliver “Lofi beats to chill & game to” through its 77 minute runtime. The all-instrumental album has esports-inspired track titles and makes for some great background tunes as you lock in on your game of choice.

While video game soundtracks are an art form in themselves, Fnatic Island Vol 1. includes music that is meant to accompany players from game to game, rather than being written to set the mood for one specific title.

Music and gaming go hand-in-hand, and this line continues to be blurred with constantly evolving soundtracks and investments into esports organizations from popular musicians like Drake. Fnatic Head of Marketing Joshua Brill says that the album represents a brand new way for the organization to engage its fans:

“It’s no secret that music and gaming culture go hand-in-hand. From Travis Scott performing inside Fortnite to Lil Nas X’s Worlds 2022 anthem, our eyes are always open for new ways to enrich and deepen the relationship we have with our 35 million strong fanbase.

Fnatic’s positioning as the leading esports performance brand is built around competing at the highest level alongside our commitment to inspire, empower and level up all gamers. Music is yet another catalyst for us to do just that, continuing to cast our net wider beyond esports into wider gaming segments.”

Fnatic Island Vol. 1 was released on November 9, and is just one of many ways that esports brands like Fnatic are branching out beyond gaming to dominate the digital space. Stream the album on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, or Deezer.
